Doesn't everyone love a snow day? Yellowstone is always amazing but there's something especially magical about Yellowstone in the wintertime. We were driving through an intermittent snowstorm, a white-out one minute, sunshine the next, keeping a sharp eye out for wildlife. After one particularly harrowing stretch of blizzard conditions we stopped to take a break. We spotted a small group of bison on a hill above us. Some of the younger ones were tussling and playing in the snow like children. It was captivating to watch, and I was lucky enough to snap a few images of their "snow day" before they thundered down the hill in front of us!
